I am running for a position on my school’s Senior Student Leadership Team (SSLT), and I would like to use the influence this would offer to help me to develop the school and foster a community of acceptance and care for the individual.
I would achieve this through creating quiet spaces at lunchtime, and helping to make everyone aware of the differences within our own community and how we can accept each other as we are.
As a joiner, I have had experiences from beyond this school (although this is the best school). I believe I could use these experiences – including being a member of the SSLT at my last school – to improve the lives of the people of RHS.
Outside of school, I am part of my local youth club, and work with the Northamptonshire Association of Youth Clubs (NAYC) to learn key skills for leadership and youth work. This has included an expedition to the Outer Hebrides to work with the local community, learning about their culture, engaging in environmental projects and working with cross-community initiatives such as the PHAB (Physically Handicapped Able Bodied) group.
If you have any questions or suggestions, you can email me. Or if you want you can talk to me in person, I am the tall one.
